Bobby Rennie

I am a contemporary artist based in Central Scotland, working primarily in painting and drawing. My practice began over forty years ago, largely self-taught, and has been enriched through formal study including an HNC in Public Art. My early work focused on realist landscapes. Over time, this has evolved into a more expressive and layered approach blending surrealist and abstract elements with recognisable landscapes drawn from places of personal significance.

Nature remains central to my practice. I have recently been producing sketches, including sketches of golf courses as I am a keen golfer. My work has been included in the UK National Art Collection, and I exhibited in the RSA Open Exhibition 2018. Alongside my studio practice, I am actively involved in community art projects, supporting creativity and engagement within local communities.
