Evelyn McEwan
In 2004 I decided I wanted to learn to paint with watercolour, so joined a painting class run by local artist Mhairi Callan where an absolute passion for art began.
Having retired after 44 years in NHS Lanarkshire Clinical Laboratories I now enjoy having more time dedicated to painting and helping support and promote local artists exhibiting at the Tolbooth in Lanark and the Jam and Ham Festival in Carluke as well as running an art group in my local town.
I am a member of Sharon Bradley’s Biggar Botanical Artists Group and the Clyde Valley Arts Group. Today I paint in all mediums depending on subject and timescales and am happy to do commission work, specialising in wedding bouquets and pets.
