Sabrin Miller

As a figurative artist based in Blairgowrie, I have a love of animals, nature and creativity and am constantly inspired by animals and wildlife seen from my garden studio and daily walks.
I also have an interest in greyhounds, having been charmed by their elegance and gentle nature, and horses, which developed from previous experience working with them.
I often depict my subjects resting or in quiet moments, which gives a calm aura to my work, and create monochrome oil paintings where I apply a reductive technique which involves removing paint rather than adding it. Cloths and other items are tools of the trade as an alternative to brushes, and my style evolved from experimenting with different media over the years and from studying Fine Art at Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art.
After many years of dipping in and out of creative activity I stepped into self-employment in 2022 and now focus on creating artwork full time.
